12 Months Living In Mandurah

Well it has been almost 12 months since I moved from the far North West to the South of Mandurah. In that time, I’ve connected with many local business owners. Firstly, I love all the small businesses Mandurah has to offer. Secondly, Each one offers unique, high quality products and services. Most of all, I’ve appreciated the supportive, positive vibe of the town.

This is my opportunity to re-introduce myself. Founder of Telling Designs, established in 2014. A one Woman show, where I like to keep it this way for now.

My Passion

I’m passionate about helping businesses across the country achieve their goals and helping them to appeal to their target audience through design and photography.

So far, I’ve helped over 70 start-ups and have achieved branding work for over 100 businesses. With over six years’ experience in design and photography – working closely with web developers – as a result, you can rest assured I know what to look for when marketing for your audience.

Telling Designs
As well as design I specialise in quality corporate brand and portrait photography.

Personally, I’m a dedicated and hard worker and I like to connect with people on a one-on-one basis.

Like me, my husband is also very dedicated. He has been very successful in his career as a high voltage electrical technician, working on one of the world’s largest exporting ports, the highest tonnage port in Australia – Port Hedland.

We share two kids 11 and 15. I absolutely adore this age, (most of the times) 😉 an age that constantly keeps us entertained.

We lived in the Pilbara region for eight years. 2012 – the day we flew into Port Hedland, there was a tropical cyclone on its way. The town was on yellow alert. 24hrs after that we were bunkering down for what we were about to experience was our very first direct hit – cyclone Heidi. A wild welcome it was, and it had been a whirlwind since.

Mining Town

Port Hedland is famous for its gigantic ships, long trains and renowned recourse industry. Countless families move there to achieve their wildest financial dreams. However, along the way, you discover – rivers, waterholes, fishing, insane weather, the best sunsets in the world, intense heat and truly memorable camping getaways and above all, the joys of a tight-knit community where friends become family.Port Hedland

It’s a place where you learn to appreciate the small things the city has to offer on a daily basis. The city gives you a fresh perspective; so, even after you leave, your memories stay with you for life.

So if you are a new follower, now you know a little about me and the contrast of where I come from, and now I am currently settled in and enjoying life here in Mandurah, close to my parents, my niece and my sister.

In conclusion, whether you’re a start-up or simply seeking a rebrand, I work with you every step of the way. I have a beautiful 30sqm studio with a built-in photographic studio. This is a dedicated space in which I can work with businesses on products and headshots. See a little video of the space here

Soon I will be sharing a blog about re-locating a business and my experience from this journey so far.
